Coinbase is reportedly in discussions with India's financial regulator to re-enter the country, according to a TechCrunch report today. This follows Coinbase's suspension of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) support in India in April 2022, shortly after its market entry. The exchange is engaging with Indian authorities, including the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). Last week, Bybit announced its FIU registration after settling a 92.7 million rupees ($1 million) penalty. Binance re-entered India in August last year after paying a $2.25 million penalty.
