The airdrop, valued at $632 million based on pre-launch market speculation, is part of a larger community engagement strategy that allocates 48.9% of the total initial supply of 500 million BERA tokens to airdrops, ecosystem development, and research.
The airdrop distribution includes testnet users, social media participants, and other community members. Token allocations can be viewed on the Berachain airdrop checker and can be claimed using various EVM wallets like Metamask and OKX Wallet.
Berachain's proof-of-liquidity consensus mechanism rewards liquidity provision, and the network has gained a significant following in the past year, with a pre-deposits application attracting over $3 billion from users in under a week, as reported by CoinDesk.
