Tragic Case in San Luis: Mother Reveals Mental Health Struggles Behind Daughter's Actions

The mother of the woman who killed her two children in San Luis provided a dramatic account, stating that her daughter "should not have been a police officer" for the past two years. She hinted that "there is more" to the case that has shocked the province.

This past weekend, Paola Núñez traveled to San Luis to lay her grandchildren, aged 2 and 7, to rest. She confirmed that her daughter had debts but also struggled with mental health issues following a violent relationship with her ex-partner.

“Marina used to play online casinos and spent much more money than she earned to provide her children with a lavish life,” Núñez shared.

In this context, Núñez highlighted that if one were to open her daughter’s closet, they would find perfumes that had never been opened and clothes that had never been worn.

In an interview with El Chorrillero, Marina Silva’s mother confirmed that her daughter had debts totaling approximately $6.7 million, but she suspects that the trigger for the tragic events is linked to her mental health struggles.

“There is something more, which I discussed in court. Perhaps in the future, people will find out everything. I cannot say it now, but yes, there is more,” she emphasized.

In this context, Núñez asserted that her daughter “should not have been a police officer for the past two years,” arguing that during this time, she had entered psychological and psychiatric treatment and should have had her weapon taken away.

Finally, Núñez confirmed that Silva “was not prepared to be a police officer,” recounting that the first significant case she faced led her to call her mother at five in the morning, “crying for me to come and get her.”

“She was also not fit to be a mother; she played at being one and forced many things,” she concluded.
