Mexico Considers Legal Action Against Google Over Gulf of Mexico Name Change

Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum is considering a civil lawsuit against Google for renaming the Gulf of Mexico to 'Gulf of America' on its maps service. This follows an executive order reportedly signed by Donald Trump after taking office. Sheinbaum stated on Thursday that Google's renaming of the body of water is incorrect. She argues that any executive order from Trump could only apply to the continental shelf within U.S. territory.
