Moody's Lowers Mexico's Credit Outlook Amid Economic Concerns

Moody's Ratings has downgraded Mexico's credit outlook from stable to negative, citing concerns that recent constitutional changes may adversely affect the country's economic stability. The agency maintained Mexico's rating at Baa2, which is two notches above junk status.

Moody's emphasized that the country faces challenges in fiscal consolidation, exacerbated by deteriorating debt affordability and an anticipated wider deficit in 2024.
