Bewerkt door: Veronika Nazarova

The Sustainable Healthcare with Digital Health Data Competence (SUSA) initiative has launched, aiming to equip healthcare professionals with essential digital skills. This €12 million project involves 12 higher education institutions from nine European countries and will revamp 46 degree programs while offering 16 modular lifelong learning opportunities.

SUSA addresses the urgent need for advanced digital competencies in healthcare, preparing graduates to leverage data for sustainable solutions. The curriculum includes innovative content on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and IoT, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.

Professor Minna Isomursu, SUSA's project leader, emphasized the importance of this initiative in creating a workforce capable of transforming patient care through digital health data. The project aligns with EU objectives, including the Green Deal, aiming for a more sustainable healthcare system.

As SUSA commences, the first cohort will embark on this transformative educational journey, with feedback guiding future improvements to ensure relevance in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
