AI SPERA Secures $8.5 Million Investment to Expand Cybersecurity Solutions

AI SPERA, a South Korean cybersecurity company, has raised an additional 12 billion won (USD 8.5 million), increasing its total funding to 23 billion won (USD 16 million). The funding round was led by KB Investment, with participation from JB Investment, Kyobo Life Insurance, and Smilegate Investment.

Investors praised AI SPERA's strong position in the global cybersecurity market and its innovative technology. The company's co-founder, Professor Hwi-gang Kim, a noted cybersecurity expert, has also contributed to investor confidence.

AI SPERA's flagship product, 'Criminal IP', offers integrated cybersecurity solutions using Attack Surface Management and Threat Intelligence, providing real-time risk analysis. This subscription-based model, known as Security as a Service (SECaaS), has attracted clients in over 150 countries, including government agencies and major corporations.

With the new investment, AI SPERA aims to enhance its AI capabilities and expand its international presence, with plans for an IPO within three years. CEO Kang Byung-tak stated, 'We aim to position AI SPERA as a global leader in cybersecurity, showcasing South Korea's technological competitiveness.'
