AI Poses Threat to Low-Skilled Jobs, Expert Warns

In the next decade, artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to threaten various low-skilled professions, according to an expert speaking on Radio Sputnik. The co-founder of an AI academy highlighted that jobs like driving could see significant reductions due to the implementation of autonomous vehicles.

"In ten years, we will be used to seeing that a courier is not a person, but a machine," the expert stated, predicting that many current delivery jobs may vanish.

Moreover, he noted that manufacturing will become increasingly automated, leading to further job losses as robots replace human workers.

Even if some professions survive, competition will intensify, resulting in lower wages and challenging conditions for workers. The expert emphasized the importance of striving for excellence in one’s field, suggesting that while top-tier professionals like doctors will always be needed, average practitioners may be replaced by AI.

He expressed concern for future job prospects, stating, "I am very scared about what my children will do, as there will be very few jobs left for humans, and AI will take a lot of them. However, I hope something new and interesting will emerge."

Previously, designer Artemy Lebedev remarked that AI could replace "provincial journalists," while those who create scripts and analytical content are likely to remain in demand and well-compensated.
