China Urges Global Cooperation on COVID-19 Origins Investigation Amid WHO Calls for Data Sharing

BEIJING, Dec 31 - China's foreign ministry stated that the country has provided the most COVID-19 data and research results to the international community. The ministry emphasized that investigations into the origins of the coronavirus should also be conducted in other countries.

This statement follows the World Health Organization's recent appeal for China to enhance data sharing and provide access to information that could help in understanding the origins of COVID-19, which was first identified in central China five years ago.
