Samsung Electronics will introduce an AI-powered subscription service for its Galaxy smartphones starting next month. This initiative marks the expansion of its AI Subscription Club, previously available for home appliances in South Korea.

The subscription will also include the upcoming Ballie AI robot, enhancing user experiences with advanced features like sophisticated camera functionalities and improved voice assistants. However, Samsung clarified that basic AI capabilities will remain free until 2025.

Samsung's vice chair, Han Jong-hee, stated, 'We will apply the subscription service to Galaxy smartphones starting next month.' The company aims to provide a more integrated smart home experience through this model.

The AI Subscription Club, launched in December 2022, allows users to pay monthly for smart devices and services, reducing upfront costs while ensuring ongoing support. The upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22 in San Jose, California, is expected to unveil more details about this service and the Galaxy S25 series.

As Samsung continues to grow in the smart home sector, the success of this subscription model could influence its global rollout, potentially reshaping consumer interaction with its devices.
