Paddington 3 to Feature Royal Cameos: King Charles and Queen Elizabeth Appear in New Film

In a delightful nod to British culture, the upcoming film Paddington 3 will include special cameos from the Royal Family. Scheduled for release in the U.K. on November 8, 2024, and in the U.S. on January 17, 2025, the movie has received unique permission to feature the likenesses of King Charles and the late Queen Elizabeth II.

King Charles makes a brief appearance through a stamp on a letter received by Paddington at the Brown family home, while a charming image of Queen Elizabeth enjoying tea with Paddington is included, taken from a short film made for her Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Producer Rosie Alison remarked on the royal family's support, stating they were pleased to allow the use of their images. Paddington's long-standing connection with the monarchy is evident, with numerous royal interactions over the years.

The film will also see a change in cast, with Emily Mortimer stepping into the role of Mary Brown, replacing Sally Hawkins, who expressed her desire to pass the role to someone else. The story will take the Brown family on an adventure to Peru to visit Aunt Lucy, promising a heartwarming journey filled with humor and nostalgia.
