Jakarta, November 8, 2024 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), known as Pelindo, has reported operational revenue of Rp23.5 trillion for the third quarter of 2024, reflecting a 4% year-on-year increase.
Pelindo's President Director, Arif Suhartono, stated that this achievement aligns with positive operational performance across all business lines within the Pelindo Group.
He emphasized that the operational improvements are a result of the company's standardization and digitalization efforts, which have successfully managed the increased flow of goods, leading to reduced port stay times.
Non-container cargo throughput reached 146 million tons in Q3 2024, a 16% increase compared to the same period last year. Container throughput also grew by 7%, totaling 13.8 million TEUs.
The positive performance over the three years since the merger has been recognized by Desty Arlaini, Assistant Deputy for Logistics Services at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises. She commended Pelindo's consistent execution of merger initiatives, including operational standardization and digitalization.
In addition, Pelindo reported an 11% increase in vessel traffic, totaling 1.04 billion GT, and a 9% rise in passenger numbers, reaching 14.7 million compared to the prior year.
Arif concluded that while these results are encouraging, Pelindo remains vigilant in navigating uncertain external conditions to sustain growth through the end of 2024.
