Yazeed Al-Rajhi Triumphs at Dakar 2025 Stage 2

Yazeed Al-Rajhi, alongside his co-driver Timo Gottschalk, secured victory in the second stage of the 2025 Dakar Rally held in Saudi Arabia. The challenging stage tested the endurance of competitors, with many facing technical issues throughout the marathon course.

As the race progressed, Al-Rajhi's duel with Nasser Al-Attiyah intensified. Al-Attiyah, starting just a minute after Al-Rajhi, managed to catch up by kilometer 700, showcasing the competitive spirit among the top drivers. Henk Lategan also emerged as a strong contender, closing in on both Al-Rajhi and Al-Attiyah as the stage unfolded.

Ultimately, Al-Rajhi crossed the finish line first, clocking a time of 10:56:54 hours. Lategan followed closely, finishing just 4:16 minutes behind. Despite the setback of accumulating four penalty minutes, Al-Rajhi's performance was commendable, reflecting his determination and resilience.

In the overall standings after two stages, Lategan leads with a total time of 15:40:30 hours, while Al-Rajhi trails by 4:45 minutes. Al-Attiyah holds the third position, facing a time deficit of 11:14 minutes. The competition remains fierce as the rally progresses towards its next stages.
