The European qualification for the 2025 Beach Soccer World Cup continues in Cádiz, Spain. On October 9, the Ukrainian national beach soccer team is set to face France in the round of 16 at 11:15 AM. Under the guidance of coach Mykola Kostенко, Ukraine finished second in Group F, trailing Poland.

In their opening match, Ukraine secured a significant victory over Norway with a score of 8-2. However, they faced a heavy defeat against Poland, losing 1-8. To balance the rankings of third-place teams, an additional match was held between the second and third-placed teams, where Ukraine convincingly defeated Norway again, this time with a score of 6-2.

Following this round, the eight winners will form two groups, with two spots for the 2025 World Cup up for grabs in each group.

In a parallel event, Uzbekistan is preparing for their World Cup qualifying match against Iran. Star player Eldor Shomurodov expressed confidence in their readiness, emphasizing their goal of securing three points. He noted that the match against Iran should be easier compared to their previous encounter with Kyrgyzstan, which had proven unpredictable.

With the absence of coach Katanec, Shomurodov reassured fans that all necessary instructions have been communicated to the team. The upcoming matches are crucial for Uzbekistan as they aim for a top position in the qualifiers.
