Bucharest's Morii Lake Island is set for a major rehabilitation project, transforming it into a lush green oasis. The 3.4-hectare island will feature over 300 newly planted trees and plants, floating islands, and waterfront access. The project, valued at 58.9 million lei, aims to create a premier recreational space with European funding supporting 85% of the costs. Floating islands are designed not only for aesthetics but also to support local flora and fauna.
