Godsmack has chosen Bulgaria as the starting point for their European tour, set to kick off on March 22, 2025, at the Arena Sofia 8888. Following their concerts in America this year, the band will present their latest album, Lighting Up the Sky, for the first time to the Bulgarian audience, alongside their greatest hits that have made them globally renowned.
Joining Godsmack on this tour will be fellow Americans P.O.D. and Drowning Pool, marking their first performance in Bulgaria. Since their inception in 1992, P.O.D. has captivated audiences worldwide with their unique blend of rock, hip-hop, reggae, and alternative music, promoting messages of unity. The San Diego quartet has sold over 10 million albums and achieved four Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top 200, collaborating with artists from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, including Carlos Santana and Katy Perry.
“We come from the southern part of San Diego, close to Tijuana, and it’s not a rock and roll town,” explains drummer Wuv. “It’s amazing that our music and message have reached not just all of America but the entire world. It’s a true blessing.” Vocalist Sonny adds, “Through all our struggles, triumphs, good and bad times, I still believe this band has a purpose. We want to leave a positive and lasting mark on the world.”
Drowning Pool, known for their raw energy and attitude, gained international recognition with their iconic anthem “Bodies,” which has left an indelible mark on the nu-metal scene. Vocalist Ryan McCombs revitalized the band after the tragic loss of original frontman Dave Williams in 2002, solidifying their status as a serious metal act.
To this day, “Bodies” remains emblematic not only for Drowning Pool but for metal culture as a whole, inspiring new generations of rock fans. Guitarist C.J. Pierce expresses the song's enduring power, stating, “I would play 'Bodies' five times a night if people really want it!”
