The annual Puppy Bowl is back, and this year promises to be the biggest yet! Animal Planet will air Puppy Bowl XXI on February 9, featuring 142 adorable rescue puppies from 80 shelters across the U.S. and Nicaragua.
Among the stars of the show is Sprinkle, a special needs dog from Connecticut. This blind and hearing-impaired Australian shepherd mix will join 10 other special pups on the field. Each dog has a unique story, and the event aims to inspire families to adopt.
Pittsburgh will also have its moment in the spotlight, with three pups from Paws Across Pittsburgh and one from Animal Friends participating. Sully and Mercury will represent Team Fluff, while Franco will be on Team Ruff. These organizations have dedicated over 80 years to finding homes for animals in need.
The Puppy Bowl isn't just about the game; it includes heartwarming segments that showcase the backstories of the players. Viewers can look forward to special appearances and the return of the Kitty Halftime Show. Plus, a Puppy Combine will introduce ten furry prospects competing for the top pick in the Puppy Bowl Draft.
