A Joyful Celebration of Saint Hubert with Dogs and Community Spirit

The first edition of the Saint Hubert celebration took place in Sainte-Livrade this past Sunday, attracting nearly 300 people. This event, dedicated to the patron saint of hunters, was a unique gathering where many participants brought their dogs along.

The purpose of the celebration was to seek the saint's protection over crops, which often suffer damage from wild animals like boars. Farmers, who work tirelessly to cultivate their land, appreciated this blessing.

The religious ceremony was led by Fathers Salesse and Hoan, while a local choir added a special touch to the event. A hunting horn group played delightful tunes that entertained the crowd. This friendly atmosphere encouraged farmers to express their gratitude to hunters for their support.

There are plans to renew the Saint Hubert celebration next year, promising another joyful occasion for the community and their beloved pets.
