Energy Truce Talks Followed by Mutual Accusations Between Russia and Ukraine

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Following energy truce negotiations mediated by the U.S. in Riyadh, Russia and Ukraine have accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreement. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned a Russian drone attack on civilian and industrial infrastructure in Krivi Rig and Sumi, asserting it undermined peace efforts. He called for international sanctions against Russia to halt the attacks. Russia's Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of targeting its energy infrastructure, citing downed drones near a Crimean gas depot and attacks on power facilities in the Bryansk region. Despite ongoing talks, both sides claim the truce has begun, highlighting the fragile nature of the agreement and continued tensions.
