On Sunday, Western leaders in London agreed that a group of nations, led by Britain and France, should collaborate with Ukraine on a peace plan, to be discussed with the U.S. French President Emmanuel Macron mentioned discussions with Starmer about a month-long ceasefire impacting air, sea, and energy infrastructure, but not initial frontline combat. A British government spokesperson indicated various options are under consideration. Starmer emphasized strengthening relations with the U.S. and positioning himself as a bridge between Europe and U.S. President Donald Trump. President Trump announced his administration is working to create a U.S. cryptocurrency reserve. He stated his intention to make the U.S. the "World Capital of Crypto." Following the announcement, Bitcoin and other digital currencies surged. Trump mentioned XRP, SOL, ADA, BTC, and ETH as potential components of the reserve. Ripple's Brad Garlinghouse supported Trump's effort, criticizing maximalism within the crypto industry. Cardano's Charles Hoskinson defended XRP. Peter Schiff questioned the rationale behind an XRP strategic reserve. The idea of a U.S. crypto reserve has been advocated by Trump since his campaign.
