Trump Backs Crypto, Judge Challenges Firing, Ukraine Peace Demands

Edited by: Katya Palm Beach

President Trump announced XRP (Ripple), SOL (Solana), and ADA (Cardano) for a U.S. crypto strategic reserve, causing market value spikes. This follows his January executive order on digital assets, aiming to establish the U.S. as the "Crypto Capital of the World." The move contrasts with the previous administration's regulatory crackdowns. A White House Crypto Summit is scheduled for Friday. Separately, Judge Amy Berman Jackson ruled Trump's firing of Hampton Dellinger, head of the Office of Special Counsel, unlawful. Dellinger was appointed by Biden and terminated shortly after Trump's inauguration. Jackson cited the Civil Service Reform Act, stating the Special Counsel can only be removed for specific reasons, none of which were given. The ruling may lead to a Supreme Court challenge regarding presidential powers. In London, over a thousand people protested in support of Ukraine, urging international commitment to a secure and lasting peace agreement. The demonstration followed President Zelensky's meeting with Trump in Washington. Protesters called for global leaders to honor their commitments and defend peace without compromising Ukraine's sovereignty.
