Russia and US to Discuss Black Sea Security in Riyadh

Russia and the United States will hold expert-level talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on March 24, focusing on Black Sea maritime security. The Russian delegation will be led by Grigory Karasin, former Deputy Foreign Minister and current parliamentarian, and Sergei Beseda, an intelligence expert. The discussions aim to assess the feasibility of implementing a maritime security initiative. This follows up on discussions between Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov and US National Security Council official Michael Waltz. The talks also touch upon the previous "grain deal," brokered by Turkey and the UN, though Russia has stated it was never fully implemented.
