Foreign ministers from the Cooperation Council member states are set to convene in Mecca on Thursday to discuss ways to enhance strategic relations and cooperation across various fields. According to Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, the 163rd ministerial meeting will be chaired by Kuwait's Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya, with participation from foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain. Al-Budaiwi noted that the meeting will address the follow-up on the implementation of the 45th session decisions, held in Kuwait in December 2024. The discussions will also cover topics related to strategic dialogue and relations between Cooperation Council countries, global developments, and regional and international issues of common interest, aiming to bolster security and stability in the region.
