India DPIIT GEAPP Partner to Boost Clean Energy Startups with $500K Innovation Challenge in 2025

Edited by: Света Света

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) in May 2025 to bolster clean energy startups in India. This collaboration aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship within the clean energy and manufacturing sectors.

The two-year partnership will support early-stage climate-tech startups by facilitating access to funding, mentorship, pilot projects, and market connections. As part of this initiative, GEAPP will launch the Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge (ENTICE), offering up to $500,000 in rewards for impactful clean energy solutions.

DPIIT will integrate the ENTICE program with the Startup India network, ensuring broad outreach through key government schemes. This partnership aims to help India achieve its net-zero targets by scaling innovative clean energy technologies. Investment support will also be facilitated through partners such as Spectrum Impact and Avana Capital.
