UAE's Continued Support for Sudan Amid 2025 Crisis: $600.4 Million in Aid

The UAE continues to work with international organizations to support the Sudanese people amidst the ongoing conflict that began in April 2023. The conflict has displaced millions and exacerbated humanitarian needs.

In line with its foreign policy, the UAE has reaffirmed its commitment to Sudan, with over $600.4 million in humanitarian aid provided since the start of the crisis. This includes a $200 million pledge made at the High-Level Humanitarian Conference for the People of Sudan in Addis Ababa on February 14, 2025.

The UAE emphasizes that sustainable development and humanitarian support are vital for both Sudan and neighboring countries. Initiatives include an air bridge with 162 aircraft carrying essential supplies. The UAE has also allocated $70 million to United Nations agencies in Sudan.

The UAE's humanitarian initiatives aim to alleviate suffering caused by the conflict, with over two million Sudanese benefiting from UAE aid. The UAE continues its efforts to end the war in Sudan, reiterating calls for a permanent and unconditional ceasefire and emphasizing the importance of a political path to resolve the crisis.
