Turkey and the United Kingdom have solidified their defense industry collaboration by signing the Türkiye-U.K. Defense Industry Council (TUDIC) Specification. This agreement aims to enhance cooperation in response to the evolving global security landscape.
The signing took place in London during a meeting between key officials, including Haluk Görgün, Musa Heybet, and Maria Eagle, representing Turkey and the U.K. The meeting underscored a mutual commitment to deepening defense ties against common threats.
Institutionalizing Cooperation
The TUDIC Specification institutionalizes cooperation between the U.K. Defense Procurement and Industry Ministry, the Turkish Defense Ministry, and the Defense Industries Secretariat. This move is expected to strengthen the strategic defense industry partnership, with participation from both Turkish and British defense industry companies.
