China has reportedly eased some of its retaliatory tariffs on specific U.S.-made semiconductors.
The exemptions were reportedly revealed on Thursday, according to three import agencies in Shenzhen, a tech hub in southern China. An official announcement from Chinese authorities has not yet been released.
The tariffs previously imposed by China on U.S. goods were as high as 25 percent. This change suggests a possible adjustment in trade strategy regarding key components that China may not be able to produce domestically or source elsewhere.
