The US and India have agreed on terms for bilateral trade negotiations. This agreement is seen as a roadmap towards a final deal between the two nations.

US Vice President J.D. Vance announced the agreement during his visit to India. The aim is to substantially increase bilateral trade, targeting over $500 billion by the end of the decade.

The US also seeks a deeper defense partnership with India. This includes co-production of munitions and equipment.
