India and the United States are actively engaged in discussions to finalize the first part of a bilateral trade agreement. The goal is to reach a positive conclusion by the fall.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned that the United States is India's largest trading partner. A comprehensive agreement is essential for both nations.

The "Mission 500" initiative aims to double trade between the two countries to $500 billion by 2030. Discussions are ongoing with the US administration to achieve this goal.
