The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and humanitarian assistance to Gaza, with a strong emphasis on the health and safety of its residents. This commitment is closely monitored by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE has established an integrated field hospital in Gaza, featuring 200 beds, operating rooms, intensive care units, and a diverse team of specialized medical staff. Since its launch on December 2nd, 2023, the hospital has addressed over 50,000 cases, focusing on emergency interventions and complex surgeries.
In addition to the field hospital, the UAE provides advanced prosthetics to patients who have undergone amputations, supporting their rehabilitation and helping them regain their ability to lead normal lives. Medical aid, including 750 tons of supplies, equipment, and generators, has also been dispatched to hospitals in Gaza to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services.
The UAE extends its support to children by offering comprehensive care to over 640,000 children, protecting them from potential diseases. To address critical medical needs, the UAE facilitates the evacuation of patients and injured individuals from Gaza to the UAE for treatment. To date, over 2,127 patients and companions have been evacuated to the UAE. These individuals receive specialized medical care, including surgical operations, rehabilitation, and psychological support.
Furthermore, the UAE has deployed a fully equipped field hospital to Al-Arish, Egypt, near the Rafah crossing. This hospital includes specialized departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and intensive care, accommodating over 10,000 cases and providing comprehensive treatment, including complex surgeries and continuous monitoring for patient safety.
