Netherlands - Delft-based startup HyER Power is developing a hydrogen-powered system designed to generate both heat and electricity. The HyER Power Plant is slated for installation at Innovation Hub KAAP in Vlissingen and is expected to be operational by the end of this year. The plant will integrate a heat pump, a fuel cell system, and energy storage technology, providing a decentralized solution for businesses' electricity and heat requirements. It will also incorporate smart energy management software. This project intends to alleviate grid congestion in the Zeeland province, where businesses are experiencing delays in obtaining grid access, which is hindering expansion and new developments.
