Gaza, June 11, 2025 — The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) accused Hamas militants of orchestrating an attack on a bus carrying its employees near Khan Younis. Five people were killed in the attack, and several others were injured or are missing.
According to the foundation, the bus was transporting humanitarian workers delivering vital aid to the southern part of the sector. Armed individuals ambushed the bus and opened fire. GHF representatives stated that the attack was deliberate and accused Hamas of undermining the humanitarian mission.
The Israeli Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) condemned the incident and called on the international community to pay attention to Hamas's actions. Israel also accused the group of using the suffering of the civilian population for its own purposes.
The incident occurred against the backdrop of escalating violence in Gaza. On the same day, June 11, Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on a crowd near an aid distribution point, resulting in the deaths of 41 people and dozens injured, according to Palestinian medical sources.
Despite the tragedy, GHF emphasized its commitment to continuing humanitarian activities but temporarily suspended some operations due to security concerns.
