Fifteen governments, including the UK, USA, Canada, EU, Israel, and Japan, previously signed a convention. The convention aims to broadly extend to business.
Governments will create initiatives for the private sector. These initiatives will help companies adapt principles in developing their own products.
For example, the Ministry will launch the HUDERIA methodology from the Council of Europe. It will help assess AI products for compliance with human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. The Convention does not apply to the use of AI in defense.
