IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi visited Tehran on Thursday amid crucial negotiations between Iran and the U.S. regarding Iran's nuclear program. Grossi acknowledged the IAEA's potential role in verifying any agreement reached.
The visit coincided with Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman's arrival in Tehran. This marks the highest-ranking Saudi official to visit Iran since 2023, amidst efforts to end the Yemen war.
Grossi emphasized the need for a positive outcome, stating, "There is a possibility of a good outcome. Nothing is guaranteed." He also noted the urgency of the situation and his contact with the United States.
Prince Khalid met with Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who advocated for regional cooperation. The Saudi Press Agency reported that the visit included discussions on bilateral relations and issues of common interest.
