Iran, US to resume nuclear talks in Oman; Tehran seeks dialogue with E3

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Tehran and Washington are scheduled to hold a third round of talks in Oman on Saturday regarding Iran's nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi expressed readiness to visit Europe for further discussions, following consultations in Moscow and Beijing.

Since September, Tehran and the E3 (France, Britain and Germany) have engaged in multiple discussions regarding their ties and the nuclear issue. The most recent talks in March focused on parameters for a future deal to roll back Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.

European diplomats seek a new meeting with Iran, however, the US did not tell European countries about the nuclear talks in Oman before Mr Trump announced them. France indicated that European powers are ready for dialogue if Tehran demonstrates serious engagement.
