A recent survey indicates that nearly half of Gazans are willing to apply to Israel for assistance in emigrating to other countries. The survey, conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research, polled residents of the Gaza Strip and West Bank between May 1-4. 49% of Gazans surveyed expressed willingness to apply to Israel for emigration assistance, while 50% were not willing. The survey also revealed significant support for anti-Hamas demonstrations within Gaza. 48% of Palestinians in Gaza supported the protests, compared to only 14% in the West Bank. However, 54% of Gazans believe the protests were influenced by external forces, with only 20% viewing them as genuine expressions of public opinion.
