Airlines suspend flights to Israel after missile strike near Tel Aviv airport

Numerous international airlines have temporarily suspended flights to Israel following a missile strike near Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv. The missile, launched from Yemen by Houthi rebels, landed close to the airport on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Airlines such as Lufthansa, Air France, British Airways, and Air India have announced the suspension of flights. The decision was made to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.

The attack, claimed by the Houthis, involved a hypersonic ballistic missile. The explosion resulted in at least six injuries.
