Drone Attacks Reported in Russia's Kursk Region; Ukraine Targeted by Russian Drone Strikes on April 15

On April 15, the Kursk region of Russia was attacked by over 100 drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. One pensioner died and seven people were injured as a result of the attacks. Ukrainian drones also targeted the Kursk region on the same night, with a total of 109 drones striking the region, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Local authorities stated that drones hit residential buildings on Orlovskaya, Zavodskaya, and Vespremskaya streets in the western part of the city. An 85-year-old woman died, and seven people were injured, suffering shrapnel wounds, and head injuries. Windows were broken in residential buildings, and fires started in some apartments. Additionally, one of the Ukrainian drones damaged an ambulance garage in Kursk, damaging 11 vehicles, according to local authorities. A missile alert was issued for the Kursk region on the night of April 15 but was quickly canceled. There were no reports of missile strikes in the region. The Russian Ministry of Defense also reported intercepting three drones over the Voronezh region and one each over the Moscow, Bryansk, and Orel regions. Russia also launched drone attacks on Ukraine on April 15. The Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram about the Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian regions.
