Ukraine Reports Capture of Chinese Nationals Fighting for Russia in Donetsk Region, Seeks Clarification from Beijing

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the capture of two Chinese citizens allegedly fighting on the Russian side in the Donetsk region. According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian intelligence is investigating the extent of Chinese involvement in the conflict and has requested clarification from Beijing regarding the matter. The individuals are currently in the custody of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). Zelenskyy has stated that the presence of Chinese citizens fighting for Russia signals a potential expansion of the conflict. He emphasized the need for a response from the international community to address these developments and to promote a peaceful resolution.
