EU to Assess Potential U.S. Automotive Tariffs

The European Commission announced on March 26 that it will evaluate U.S. President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs of up to 25% on automotive imports, along with other measures under consideration by the U.S. The EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that tariffs are detrimental to businesses and consumers in both the U.S. and the EU. The bloc aims to pursue negotiated solutions while safeguarding its economic interests and protecting its workers, businesses, and consumers.
