Ukrainian Forces Retreat from Kursk Region Amidst Heavy Russian Drone Attacks

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Ukrainian soldiers fighting in the Kursk region of Russia describe their retreat as a "horror film," citing heavy Russian drone attacks and destroyed military equipment. According to soldiers communicating via social media, the withdrawal follows the loss of Sudzha, a key city captured during Ukraine's incursion into Kursk in August 2024. Troops report constant drone fire and significant equipment losses along supply routes. Russia claims full control of Kursk as of March 13, stating that Ukrainian forces abandoned substantial equipment. Administrators for Caledonian Thistle Football Club (ICT) announced that no offers were made to purchase the club, placing it "in grave danger." The club entered administration in October after months of financial uncertainty. BDO, the appointed administrators, stated that while there was interest in ICT, no offers were made by the March 6 deadline. Concerns were raised regarding substantial loans to former directors and the distribution of club shares. BDO continues to seek a solution to retain the club's SPFL membership but warns that without new offers, the club's future is uncertain.
