Trump Threatens Russia with Sanctions Amid Escalating Ukraine Conflict

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened Russia with large-scale banking sanctions, sanctions, and tariffs in response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Trump stated on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he is seriously considering these measures until a ceasefire and peace agreement are reached.

This announcement follows a night of massive Russian attacks on Ukraine, involving at least 58 missiles and 194 drones. The Ukrainian military reported that it intercepted 34 missiles and 100 drones, utilizing mobile units, anti-aircraft missiles, and electronic interference equipment. For the first time, French Mirage 2000 fighter jets were deployed to counter the assault, primarily targeting gas production infrastructure.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed it targeted energy and gas infrastructure supporting Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
