In Maryland, a real horse chase that lasted more than two months has come to an end.
Since late June, a wild mustang roamed freely near the Liberty Reservoir Liberty Reservoir, as if it had decided that the whole area now belonged to it. People repeatedly tried to approach the fugitive, but each time it showed excellent reflexes and clearly had no intention of trading freedom for a stall.
In the end, conventional methods had to be set aside. A professional horseman and horse rescue specialists were brought in. After several attempts on September 3, 2026, the mustang was finally captured safely.
Now the main character of the local version of 'Catch Me If You Can' stands calmly in a stall.
After months of freedom, chases, and attempts to outwit people, the story ended without injuries — and, apparently, the mustang just has to get used to the idea that its long vacation is officially over.
And the Maryland authorities can finally breathe a sigh of relief: the most stubborn fugitive of the season has been caught.
