The man ordered breakfast at 11 in the evening so often that the restaurant started cooking specially for him. 😂🍔-1

Each of us has favorite places we want to return to again and again. But one American became so attached to a particular fast-food restaurant that the employees not only learned his name and favorite order, but even started changing the breakfast preparation time just for him!

And then one of the workers told the customer something so unexpected that he seriously began to think about whether he needed to change his eating habits.

And, possibly, even switch restaurants! 😂

Breakfast at 11 in the evening? Why not!

An American named James Clark adores the breakfasts from the popular restaurant chain Whataburger.

What's more, he loves them so much that for six months now he has been living on a completely unusual schedule.

The thing is that at Whataburger, breakfast starts being served at exactly 23:00.

Yes, yes, at eleven o'clock at night!

This is one of the peculiarities of the American fast-food chain: breakfasts here are available from 23:00 until 11:00 the next day.

And James decided to take full advantage of this circumstance.

He set a daily alarm on his phone for 23:00 so he would know exactly when he could head out for his favorite sandwiches!

Just imagine.

For most people, the alarm goes off in the morning to remind them they need to get up for work.

For James, it goes off late in the evening to remind him: it's time for breakfast!

And this has been going on for six months now.

The man himself admits that he visits the restaurant several times a week.

It would seem to be a completely harmless habit.

But one day everything changed.

“Is that James? Your order is already being prepared!”

One evening James pulled up to the restaurant a little earlier than usual.

The clock read 22:58.

There were two minutes left until the official start of breakfast service.

The man decided to try his luck and ask whether he could already order his favorite food.

But before he could finish his order, the employee unexpectedly asked:

“Is that James?”

Clark was surprised.

How did the worker know his name?

It turned out that the staff had not simply recognized the regular customer by his voice.

The employees had studied his habits so well that they had started preparing breakfast at around 22:50 — ten minutes earlier than the set time!

And all so that James could get his favorite food at exactly eleven in the evening.

The man himself admitted that until that moment he had not even realized how often he visited the establishment.

But a real shock awaited him ahead.

“And I thought you would be much fatter!”

When James pulled up to the order pickup window, the employee finally saw his famous regular customer in person.

And he uttered a phrase that the customer clearly had not expected to hear:

“I don’t want to offend you, but I thought you would be much bigger!”

At that point James was completely thrown off.

Just imagine: for six months you have been regularly ordering your favorite food, bothering no one, showing up strictly on schedule…

And then you find out that the entire staff had been picturing you as a person of completely different dimensions!

The man even tried to find out why the employees knew his name and his order so well.

The answer turned out to be extremely simple: he shows up so regularly that they had long since remembered him.

And when a slightly embarrassed James asked them to say at least something nice to him, the employee praised him for his remarkable loyalty to his favorite breakfast.

Admit it, that’s quite a compliment!

Other men get praised for willpower, athletic achievements, or professional success. But James was praised for never once cheating on his late-night sandwiches! 🤣

The internet advised him not to give up on the restaurant

James told the story on TikTok, where the video racked up more than a million views.

It turned out that many people have similar stories.

One user said that his father stopped going to the local Starbucks when he learned that the employees had nicknamed him “the Muffin Man” because of his constant orders of blueberry muffins.

Another admitted that he once walked into a Chick-fil-A and heard an employee say, “Oh, you again!”

After that, he did not show up there for a whole month.

But what amused viewers most was that, for James’s sake, the employees had started making breakfast earlier than the official time.

Some even advised him under no circumstances to change restaurants.

After all, if he stopped coming, the employees would decide that something terrible had happened to him!

And indeed, picture an ordinary evening at Whataburger.

22:50 — the employees start making breakfast.

22:55 — everything is almost ready.

23:00 — no James.

23:05 — still no James.

23:10 — the staff are starting to worry.

23:15 — the manager suggests putting out a missing-person alert for him.

“A man has gone missing who regularly ordered breakfast at eleven at night. Distinguishing features: remarkably slim for that many sandwiches!” 😂

When a restaurant becomes almost like a second family

Actually, James’s story is a rather amusing example of how imperceptibly our habits take shape.

We can visit the same coffee shop for years, order the same dishes, and not even suspect how well the staff know us.

Sometimes a single glance is enough for the barista to start making your favorite coffee.

And sometimes, as in James’s case, the staff get so used to a particular customer that they effectively adjust the kitchen’s work around him.

And here an interesting question arises.

On the one hand, it’s nice when people recognize you and serve you almost like an old friend.

On the other, it’s rather awkward to suddenly learn that the employees discuss how you look and how much you eat.

After this story, James himself admitted that he probably really should take a break from visiting his favorite establishment.

But internet users categorically disagreed with that.

After all, now he has practically a personal restaurant!

And most importantly, the staff already know his schedule better than some of his relatives do.

All that remains is to hope that one day James doesn’t decide to switch to healthy eating.

Otherwise, just imagine him pulling up to 23:00 and, instead of his usual sandwich, asking for a vegetable salad.

The staff will surely call the manager, check your documents and ask:

"James, is that really you? Are you all right? Shall we call a doctor?" 🤣

And yet, perhaps the main takeaway from this story is simple:

If the restaurant staff not only know your name but also start cooking your food before you even show up, you may no longer be a regular customer. You are part of the work schedule! 😂
