At midnight near the Ganapati temple in the Bavda area of Palghar (Maharashtra), a CCTV camera captured an unusual scene. A leopard, which had been terrorizing local residents for several days, was chasing a pack of dogs.

The adult dogs scattered, leaving two tiny puppies behind. One of them ended up right in the predator's paws.

For a few tense seconds, the puppy remained in the leopard's grip. An attack seemed inevitable. But the leopard suddenly released the pup and walked away. The puppy ran off unharmed.

The video quickly went viral on social media. People are discussing the unexpected behavior of the animal, which in recent days had already become a threat to pets in Wangaon and Bavda.

According to local media reports, this very leopard had previously attacked other dogs and domestic animals. However, this time it showed restraint.

What made the predator change its mind at the last moment?

The footage from the temple camera continues to gain views, reminding us how unpredictable wildlife can be even near human settlements.
