On September 7, 2026, about 30 robots—humanoid and quadrupedal—gathered in front of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Poland in Warsaw. They waved flags, marched in circles, and "chanted" slogans through loudspeakers.
The protest was organized by the Democratism initiative with the support of the company Delta Robots. The goal is to launch a public discussion about the impact of AI and robotization on the labor market. Organizer Grzegorz Kuliś emphasized: "We particularly want to draw attention to the potential replacement of humans by both humanoid robots and artificial intelligence in cognitive work."
Among the slogans were "Protect Jobs", "Time for Rules", and "Don't Wait, Regulate". One of the robots, Agibot A3, "told" journalists that the technology present is already a reality.
Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski came out to the participants. He noted that Poland became the first EU country to introduce oversight of the AI market and announced the creation of the Commission for the Development and Safety of Artificial Intelligence, as well as regulatory "sandboxes" for testing solutions.
Kuliś added that the organizers feel a responsibility to inform society about rapid technological changes that personally frighten them. The robots were used symbolically: the demonstration showed that the technology is already here and the question of readiness for it is urgent.
What will happen if regulations do not keep up with the speed of development?
The initiative is not against technology as such, but emphasizes the need for rules that will protect workers. Delta Robots, the company that supplied the machines, also acknowledged the PR aspect of the campaign.
