Shanghai's Fengxian District to Host 40 MW/160 MWh Multi-Technology Energy Storage Project

Shanghai, China: A comprehensive energy storage project is being implemented in Fengxian District, incorporating five distinct technologies. The initial phase of the Fengxian Comprehensive Multiple New Energy Storage Route Comparison Demonstration Base will encompass an area of two hectares and have a capacity of 10 megawatts (MW) and 40 megawatt-hours (MWh). This phase will feature:

10 MW of lithium-ion battery storage,

4 MW of zinc-redox flow battery storage,

5 MW of all-redox vanadium flow battery storage, and

4 MWh of zinc-redox flow battery storage.
