Starlink set to launch satellite internet in Bosnia

Edited by: Veronika Nazarova

Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet service, is preparing to launch in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Discussions between Minister Edin Forto and Starlink executives Rebecca Hunter and Prakul Kapoor signal mutual interest in deploying the service soon. The collaboration may extend to e-governance, healthcare improvements, and disaster response systems. Starlink aims to provide fast, reliable internet globally, especially in underserved rural areas. Unlike traditional systems, Starlink uses a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites. This approach reduces latency and increases internet speeds, offering a superior user experience. Starlink is already available in several European countries, including neighboring Croatia. The standard hardware package costs approximately €349, providing access to the satellite internet service.
