Global energy demand is projected to increase by 74% by the year 2100. This is according to a report by the Turkish Energy Strategies and Policies Research Center (TESPAM). The report forecasts a rise from 620.5 million gigajoules in 2024 to 1.08 billion gigajoules by 2100. Oguzhan Akyener, President of TESPAM, noted that developing countries will inevitably consume more energy. This increased consumption will be a necessity rather than a choice. This surge highlights the growing energy needs worldwide.
