  • 5G Networks: Promotion of infrastructure and services based on 5G technology.

  • Smart City Projects: Enhancement of smart city initiatives through new digital channels and disruptive technologies tailored to business and citizen needs.

  • IoT Solutions: Implementation of IoT solutions in urban settings, including the creation of Madrid's IoT Laboratory (IoTMADLab) for public spaces and major events, in collaboration with Barcelona Innova Lab.

  • AI and Cybersecurity: Deployment of AI-based solutions and data protection measures in line with European and national regulations.

  • Digital Inclusion and Training: Promotion of programs to reduce the digital divide and enhance technological literacy.

  • Innovation Ecosystems: Creation of environments that foster talent, investment, and entrepreneurship in innovative technologies.

  • Administrative Process Automation: Simplification of public procedures through automated technologies.

  • Open Data and City Indicators: Encouragement of accessible data use for evidence-based management and increased transparency.

  • International Projects: Collaboration on European and global initiatives.

The protocol emphasizes the importance of technical collaboration between both administrations, fostering multidisciplinary teams to analyze and propose innovative solutions, ensuring maximum utilization of technological advancements.

A joint monitoring committee will be established to coordinate projects, track progress, and address any arising questions.
